Spatial Justice

Have you ever wondered when you drive through poorer communities, why there are so few trees, such little green space, as contrasted with wealthier communities? Spatial justice, a concept originally proposed by David Harvey and Edward Soja, integrates the concept of space into social justice. The organization of space is a critical aspect of human societies and reflects what we value and influences social relations (Henri Lefebvre, 1968, 1072).
